Paul Polito earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Florida State University College of Law in 2017 and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in 2013. Mr. Polito has experience in land use, environmental, and special district litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Mr. Polito practiced law as a Senior Assistant General Counsel and appellate counsel at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), and served as lead counsel in cases involving hazardous waste discharges, RCRA compliance, CERCLA enforcement, wastewater treatment facilities, surface water violations, and environmental permitting violations. Mr. Polito represented local governments in negotiations with state agencies, and has argued on behalf of local governments before municipalities, state circuit courts, and federal courts. Mr. Polito’s practice continues to emphasize special district and local government representation, including land use and environmental matters.
